Course Description:

Join us for our in-depth ISPOR Short Course on the transformative role of Al in advancing real-world evidence (RWE) research, covering essential applications and innovations.

Experts using AI for observational research will cover how to use AI for extracting and analyzing insights from complex, longitudinal medical records, as well as considerations for data access and patient privacy. Topics will include technical challenges with deploying AI in healthcare settings, safety and validation for rigorous standards of accuracy and reliability, and impactful results and emerging opportunities for AI-driven research.

After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the challenges and opportunities for AI in RWE research
  • Develop a decision framework for evaluating if AI is right for a particular use case
  • Explain the limits of today’s AI and how they can be mitigated
